Developmental disability can be due to genetics, neuronal migration, structural differences. Independence/dependance, inclusion/segregation is necessary to consider. Developmental age can be considered chronologically, physically, hormonally, socially or emotionally. To be classed as a diability it must cause substantial lifelong difficulties in day to day activities.
