Health and disease are unequally distributed, differences in health are related to socioeconomic inequalities. Access issues get greater the further out you get from cities. Access is the ability to secure a specified range of services, at a specified level of quality, subject to a specified maximum level of personal inconvenience and cost, whilst in possession of a specified level of information.
Structural access is when access is universal (made open and available to all), financially affordable, and geographically reachable in a timely fashion. Socio-cultural access is when access is culturally acceptable to patients. Medically indigent is a term for those who are broke from medical bills.
Racial differences have differences in systems of knowledge, potential clash in values between doctor and patient, norms for seeking care may be different, history of migration/occupational separation, racial discrimination.
Sex is biological differences, gender is social construct and norms regarding sex, they are learned, refers to differing social roles and expectations
